The Sadar police have booked four persons, including three women in connection with an assault case.

Complainant Rajesh Dhawan, who sustained a head injury, told the police that on Friday his wife Ritu Dhawan and his sister-in-law Hema Dhawan were sitting in a street outside his house in Tagore Avenue when the accused argued with them and started recording a video through their phone. At that point of time, Dhawan, his brother Naresh Dhawan and other members of the family were inside the house.

According to the complainant, Ashu Khanna attacked his family members with a sword, leaving them injured.

Those booked have been identified as Simple Khanna, her brother Ashu Khanna, Veena Khanna and Dimple Khanna, all residents of Tagore Avenue located on Majitha road. A case under Sections 323, 324 and 34 of the IPC has been registered against them. No arrest has been made so far.

The victims also handed over a CCTV footage of the incident to the police. The police said the matter was under investigation and no suspect had been arrested so far. He said both parties were neighbours having some old dispute.
