April exports rise 5.17% to $25.91 billion

New Delhi: Exports grew by 5.17% to $25.91 billion in April compared to the same month last year on account of healthy performance by engineering, chemicals and pharmaceutical segments, according to the Commerce Ministry data. Imports too grew by 4.60% to $39.63 billion in the month on yearly basis, leaving a trade deficit of $13.72 billion. PTI

Atal Pension Yojana crosses 1-crore mark

Atal Pension Yojana (APY) has added over 1 crore subscribers since its launch in May 2015, the Pension Fund Regulatory and Development Authority (PFRDA) said on Tuesday. APY was launched in May 2015 and current number of subscriber stands at 1.10 crore,  the PFRDA said. TNS

Nalco sets target of Rs 9,350-crore revenue

Aluminium major National Aluminium Company Limited (Nalco) has set the highest- ever target of Rs 9,350-crore revenue from operations, 15% higher than previous year, for FY 2018-19. It has signed an MoU with the Ministry of Mines for the same.  TNS
