Legal troubles of beleaguered real estate major Amrapali are getting serious day by day. After ordering sealing of their nine properties yesterday, the Supreme Court today issued contempt notice against three directors, including the CMD of Amrapali group for their failure to comply with its orders.

A Bench headed by Justice UU Lalit asked the three Amrapali directors — Anil Kumar Sharma, Shiv Priya and Ajay Kumar — to respond to the contempt notice in four weeks. It directed them to present themselves before SHO of Noida Sector 62 Police Station on Friday by 8 am.

  • The top court made it clear that the trio shall remain under police surveillance confined to a hotel in Noida but not under police custody
  • Noida SSP will take them to the hotel after 6 pm where their mobile phones will be seized and they shall spend nights in the hotel for the next 15 days
  • The sealed properties of Amrapali group will be open from 8 am to 6 pm for cataloguing of documents for the next 15 days
