Ishan Sharma (26) of Saini Vihar in Phase II of Baltana in Zirakpur, was a graduate from Khalsa College, Chandigarh. He ran a cellphone shop in Sector 22, Chandigarh.

The victim, along with his brother-in-law Sunil and two other friends, had left for Kaza on two motorcycles on Friday. His elder brother, while controlling his tears, said he and his parents had been requesting them not to go to a hilly area, but Ishan was adamant on going there. He said Ishan was fond of outings and used to go on long tours, either on a motorcycle or a car. 

The victim’s father, Sushil Sharma, had retired from the Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (UHBVN), while his mother Sudesh Sharma is a housewife. The family was earlier living in Sector 28, Chandigarh, and had shifted to their house in Saini Vihar about 15 years ago. 

The victim has an elder brother, Ravi, who works in an IT company, and two sisters. He was the youngest in the family. One of the sisters was married to Sunil. After hearing the news, people from the locality and relatives started gathering at the house since morning. 

Local councillor Parveen Sharma  termed it a a big tragedy for the family.
