After two years, tricity loses the top position
A year earlier in 2017, Sarvesh Mehtani of Panchkula had bagged the top position, getting 339 marks out of 366. He is now with IIT-Bombay, pursuing computer science engineering (CSE).

Tricity disappointed with no topper from the area this time. Last year, Pranav Goyal of Panchkula had topped scoring 337 out of 360. He is now with IIT-Roorkee.

A year earlier in 2017, Sarvesh Mehtani of Panchkula had bagged the top position, getting 339 marks out of 366. He is now with IIT-Bombay, pursuing computer science engineering (CSE).

Suchit Verma, director of FIIT JEE, Chandigarh, blames the coaching centres, accusing them of “poaching.” But director of Sri Chaitanya Institute Hitesh Panwar is not too disappointed. “Getting a rank in the top 100 is itself an achievement,” he says.
