Rotary Club holds medical check-up camp at Central jail

The Rotary Club, West Amritsar, organised hygiene awareness-cum-health check-up camp at Central Jail here on Thursday. Manbir Singh Khehra, managing director, Co-operative Department, attended the event as guest of honour. Dr Rajesh Kapila, president, Rotary Club, said that free sanitary pads were distributed to around 150 female inmates of the jail. Dr Sarika Kapila delivered a talk to create awareness regarding female hygiene and issues faced by females.

The jail inmates were also provided check up facilities for various diseases and were given medicines free of cost. Senior members of the club, including Raminder Grover, Neeru Issar, Jyoti Bhatia, Nishu Arora, Manish Mahajan and Dr Raman Gupta were present. Jail Superintendent Arshdeep Singh Gill thanked the club for organising the event.
