Bathinda, June 9

Five persons, including three children, were injured in a road mishap on the Barnala bypass overbridge here on Saturday night. The accident took place when the driver lost control of his Scorpio car to avoid hitting a stray dog on the road. The vehicle turned turtle in the mishap.

After getting information, volunteers of Naujawan Welfare Society, an NGO, Manik Garg and Gautam Sharma reached the spot and took the mishap victims to the Civil Hospital.

The victims have been identified as Sukhman Kaur (10) and Jasleen (15), both residents of Mandi Mehraj village in Rampura; Sandeep Kaur (24), Janpur (2), and Davinder Singh (27), all residents of Kothe Amarpura. — TNS
