Four gangsters held for murdering owner of finance company

The CIA staff of the Panchkula police has arrested four gangsters for murdering owner of a property and finance company, located in a showroom in Sector 20, on January 30.

Those arrested have been identified as Jitender, alias Johny, a resident of Nazafgarh, New Delhi, Altaf Khan, alias Sanju, and Irfan, alias Katu, both residents of Uttam Nagar, New Delhi, and Rajpal Singh, alias Jaspreet Singh, a resident of Ramgarh village in Rajasthan. They were produced in the court today, which remanded them to police custody for four days.

The accused were part of the nine-member gang, which committed the murder. They were hired by the five accused, who had conspired to rob and murder owner of a property and finance company.

Inspector Aman Kumar of the Crime Branch, Sector 26, said all the arrested accuseds were involved in the loot and murder of Deepak, owner of the property and finance company in Sector 20. The accused had taken away cash worth several lakhs and mobile phones from the office of the victim, he added.

The accused, Jitender, had fired at Deepak to kill him, however, the bullet hit the victim’s foot. Another accused Altaf had also fired, but the bullet hit the LCD fixed on the office wall. It is pertinent to mention here that owner of the company Deepak was seriously injured in the incident. He fell unconscious while cards lay scattered on the table and on the floor.

Another person Sunny in order to save his life had jumped from the first floor of the showroom after breaking window glass. He suffered fractures on his legs and arms, besides receiving head injuries as he fell on the debris lying in front of the showroom. Deepak and Sunny were rushed to the Sector 6 Civil Hospital from where Deepak was referred to the PGI, Chandigarh, where he succumbed to his injuries.
