New Mohali DC takes charge

Mohali’s new Deputy Commissioner Girish Dayalan after taking charge of his office today directed to cover/fill all bore pits in the district with immediate effect.

The direction came in wake of the recent incident of falling of a kid in a bore pit at Bhagwanpura in Sangrur district.

Talking about his priorities, the Deputy Commissioner said he would take forward all development works and projects initiated by his predecessors. “Mohali is one of the most important districts of North India when it comes to investment and basic infrastructure. I would strive to make it better by providing more facilities here,” Dayalan said.

He also issued directions to his staff to deal with public and extend full help to get their work done here. He said he would develop a proper system for speedy redressal of public complaints.

“We will also take required steps to ensure women safety here,” the DC added.
