Panchkula, June 11

Taking a strong notice of pasting of advertisements on the roundabouts in the city without seeking approval from the authorities, the Panchkula Municipal Corporation has filed a complaint with various police stations, requesting them to register an FIR against the private trust.

In complaints registered at the Sectors 5 and 14 police stations, it was stated that as per the Haryana Municipal Advertisement Bylaws 2018, the applicant firm or trust company has to seek prior permission from the MC for display of advertisement along with requisite fee.

A private trust, in violation of the terms and conditions of advertisement bylaws, had displayed advertisement on roundabouts of Sectors 5 and 10, Sectors 17 and 18, and Sectors 9 and 16 without seeking prior approval from the MC.

The MC has submitted photographs of violations, along with the complaint, to the police station, requesting the police department to lodge an FIR against the trust and intimate about the same to the Municipal Corporation.

MC Commissioner Rajesh Jogpal confirmed that the communication was sent to the police department.
