Resident doctors to boycott work at PGIMER

To resume services after 12 noon

Chandigarh, June 13

The Association of Resident Doctors, PGI, has decided to boycott all services, except emergency, from 8 am to 12 noon on Friday in protest against the recent attack on a doctor in Kolkata. Association president Dr Uttam Kumar Thakur said the members of the association would abstain from work in OPDs, operation theatres, etc., till 12 noon.

They will resume the services after 12 noon so that patients do not have to suffer. He said if the West Bengal Government takes strict action against the protesting doctors, then they would extend their protest. — TNS
