Indus Public School organised an awareness yoga camp on its premises today.

Students performed various asanas and enthusiastically participated in exercises. They were given tips on meditation and taught basic exercises to keep themselves light and healthy. Students were told that exercises such as yoga were the best option to stay fit and fiddle.

School Principal Parampreet Kaur said yoga offered multiple health benefits. “It is instrumental in energy management,” she said.  School Director Col CS Cheema said yoga helped to keep energy level high and balanced. “It also helps in improving breathing quality, lowering stress and cortisol levels, helping one maintain peace,” he said.

He said yoga also helped improve inter-personal relationships and communication. “Physically, one feels flexible, stronger and gains stamina,” he said.
