Three held with 80-gram heroin

Sleuths of the Special Task Force (STF) have arrested three persons with 80 grams of heroin here.

The suspects have been identified as Tejvir Singh, alias Teji, Harmanjit Singh, alias Harman, both from Padiala village, Kurali, and Rishabh Thakur, a resident of Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.

According to the police, the trio was arrested near TDI City here. They were travelling in an Alto car on the Airport road to go to Kurali to supply drugs to their customers.

“They were arrested at a naka laid following a tip-off in this regard,” said the police.

According to the police, the trio used to bring drugs from Delhi and supply it in Mohali, Kharar and Kurali areas.

A case of theft was already registered against Teji, while Harman is also facing another case of drug peddling.

The police have registered a case against the trio under the NDPS Act at the STF police station in Phase 4 here.
