According to the police, a 32-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Maloya.

Two suicide incidents were reported from different parts on the city on Friday.

According to the police, a 32-year-old man committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Maloya.

Sources said the victim has been identified as Swami Shankar. The police were informed about the incident following which a PCR reached the spot and rushed the victim to the Government Multi Specialty Hospital, Sector 16, where doctors declared him brought dead. The victim worked as a scrap dealer.

The police have initiated an inquest proceeding into the incident at the Maloya police station.

In another incident, a 24-year-old youth reportedly committed suicide by hanging. Sources said the victim had been identified as Praveen, who worked as a cook in Sector 39.

The police were informed about the incident following which the victim was rushed to a hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.

An inquest proceeding has been initiated at the Sector 39 police station.
