New Delhi, January 10

The Delhi Government today launched a missed call facility for getting information of art and culture events organised by the department concerned.

If a person gives a missed call on 9323300300, it will be understood that he wants information about art and culture events. The department concerned will reply him soon for giving information, said Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.

He said art and culture are important parts of overall development strategy of the Delhi Government. The government has initiated a number of programmes to bring the finest art and culture to its people. Through the different academies under art, culture and languages department and tourism, the government presents a varied range of programmes of theatre, classical music, literature, fine arts and so on. On an average 15-20 programmes a month are organised.

Despite the vibrant cultural calendar many art enthusiasts remain unaware of the programmes. The government wants to ensure no person interested in the arts is left out, he said.

Sisodia said through this unique initiative, interested residents can simply give a missed call on the given number to receive regular updates on the exciting programmes organised by the Delhi Government.
