KHANDAWALI (BALLABGARH):Residents of Khandawali village observed ‘Black Eid’ today to express their anguish at the lynching of 17-year-old Junaid.

Residents of Khandawali village observed ‘Black Eid’ today to express their anguish at the lynching of 17-year-old Junaid. They wore black bands on their arms and demanded justice in the case. 

Jalaluddin (54), father of the victim, said, “I want death for the culprits, who killed my son.” He said the culprits should be brought to book and meted out with similar treatment. 

Shabbir Ahmed, a villager, said people did not prepare or distribute sweets in protest against the incident. Similar reports were received from other places like Alwar,Nuh, Kanpur and Jammu.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner, the Commissioner of Police and the Superintendent of Police, Railways, visited the victim’s family today and assured them that the culprits would be arrested.
