AIIMS experts to study K’shetra deaths

Kurukshetra, February 13

The police have roped in forensic experts from AIIMS, New Delhi, to examine the circumstances leading to the unnatural deaths of two youths, including, a minor girl, from Jhansa village in the district.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Abhishek Garg said a three-member committee had been given the post-mortem and chemical analysis reports prepared by experts.

He said the experts visited the family members of both the victims and inspected various sites in Jhansa.

“It is a case of a scientific investigation and we do not want any loose thread in it. AIIMS experts will thoroughly examine the reports and they will submit their opinion soon,” said the SP.

The minor girl and her friend Gulshan Kandara were from Jhansa village. They reportedly went missing on January 9. The body of the 15-year-old girl was found near a canal in Jind’s Budha Khera village on January 12 and Gulshan’s body was fished out from a canal near Kirmach village on January 16.—TNS
