BJP dist chief’s son thrashed; 10 booked

The Ambala police booked 10 youths for allegedly thrashing the son of the district BJP chief and his friends in Ambala City on Saturday night. A case was registered on Sunday.

As per information, Amit Kumar, son of district BJP chief Jagmohan Lal, along with his three friends had gone to attend a ring ceremony event at a palace in Ambala City on Saturday night. They had arguments with some youths there while dancing. Later, the accused allegedly made Amit to stop his car near Galaxy Mall, Sector 7, and beat them up with iron rods and sticks.

Gagandeep, a friend of Amit, was admitted to the PGI, Chandigarh.

Rajnish, SHO, Baldev Nagar police station said, “A case has been registered against 10 youths, including six by name, for allegedly thrashing Amit Kumar and his friends. The complainant has also claimed that the accused tried to kidnap them. Efforts are being made to arrest the accused.”
