Karnal, October 11

The Civil Hospital authorities on Thursday launched the digital X-ray facility on its premises.

Earlier, the X-ray developed through the conventional method used to take more than an hour. However, under the new facility, it will take only 15 minutes.

Jagmohan Anand, district president of the BJP, said the state government was committed to providing health facilities at the doorsteps of the people of the state. He said the previous government had abolished the Civil Hospital, but with the efforts of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar and Health Minister Anil Vij, it was restarted in the city. “More than 1,500 patients visit the health facility on a daily basis," he added.

He said Kalpana Chawla Government Medical College had also been functional by the government.

Dr Piyush Sharma, Principal Medical Officer (PMO), said patients would not have to go to any other place for digital x-ray. He said the facility would soon be connected with the OPD.
