Chandigarh, April 20

The Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has formulated the new Group Housing Scheme-2017 (e-auction) for the allotment of group housing plots available in various urban estates in the state. The e-auction of group housing sites by HUDA was likely to commence on June 15.

A spokesman for HUDA said today that the available group housing plots at Ambala, Bahadurgarh, Dadri, Faridabad, Gurugram, Hisar, Jagadhri, Jind, Kaithal, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Panchkula (Pinjore), Panipat, Palwal, Rewari, Rohtak, Sirsa and Sonepat were likely to be allotted in near future through e-auction to eligible registered cooperative group housing societies or welfare housing organisations. Interested persons and organisations may form cooperative group housing societies or welfare housing organisations and register them with the Registrar, Cooperative Societies, or the Registrar, Firms and Societies, for becoming eligible to participate in the forthcoming e-auction scheme.

He said, “Only cooperative group housing societies and welfare housing organisations registered with the Registrar, Cooperative Societies, and the Registrar, Firm and Societies, Haryana, under the Group Housing Scheme (e-auction) of HUDA consisting of members, who are India nationals and residents of India, are eligible to apply. Minors are not allowed to be member of these societies or organisations. Any person can become a member of maximum five cooperative societies but he or she can retain membership of only one successful society in the auction. Also, a member can have only one flat or share in a society. A member should not own any house, flat, plot in his or her name or in the name of his or her spouse or dependent children in the same urban estate of HUDA in which he or she is applying for membership of a cooperative society or welfare organisation. A housing society or organisation shall have at least 20 members and should be registered with the Registrar, Cooperative Societies, Haryana, or the Registrar, Firms and Societies, Haryana.

He said group housing plots would be allotted on the free hold basis through e-auction. The reserve price would be fixed as collector rates or 80 per cent of the market rates, whichever is higher.
