Cycle rally against use of polythene

Nearly 250 students from different educational institutions on Sunday took out a cycle rally in the town to create awareness among people for making Sonepat free from polythene.

Deputy Commissioner (DC) KM Pandurang led the cycle rally which was jointly organised by the district administration and Sarthi Janseva Charitable Trust. After passing through different residential and commercial areas of the town, the rally terminated at the Municipal Corporation Park. The DC administered oath to the participants to use cloth and jute bags for carrying articles at the end of the rally. City Magistrate Sweta Suhag and Trust chairman Satpal Singh Ahlawat also participated in the rally.
