DRO threatened on phone, one booked

Kaithal, December 6

A man allegedly threatened the district revenue officer (DRO) and executive magistrate Suresh Kumar of dire consequences and made castiest remarks against him in an audio clip sent on his mobile phone. The Civil Lines police here have registered a case against Balwinder Singh of Rasina. In his complaint to the police, the official stated that a case against Balwinder Singh under Section 107/151 of the IPC was pending before him. The accused sent two audio clips each on November 26 and 28 in which he used abusive language, made castiest remarks and threatened him of dire consequences. He also referred to a judge in the said audio clip. Taking serious view of the matter, SP Waseem Akram asked DSP Tarun Saini to investigate the case. —OC
