Project ‘saksham’ in Kurukshetra

Tribune News Service

Kurukshetra, June 12

The district administration has planned to rope in teachers to adopt five government schools to improve the competency of students.

Deputy Commissioner SS Phulia said the project would be under the state government’s intuitive ‘saksham’.

He said the aim of the project was to enhance the learning level of students of government schools and to ensure they have the knowledge of subjects as per their age group.

The DC said teachers would soon be shortlisted on the basis of their academic strength.

Remedial classes will be held in government schools and coordinated efforts will be made to achieve about 80 per cent grade level competency of students, said the DC.
