The police have solved the murder and kidnapping of a 30-year-old woman with the arrest of two persons here on Friday.

In a complaint to the City police on July 20, Ravi Rana, a resident of Dev Colony in Rohtak, had stated that his daughter Suraksha had allegedly been kidnapped by her husband Rajiv, a resident of local Old Housing Board Colony, and his family members, including Sonu, Neelam, Dhanwanti and others.

Superintendent of Police Pratiksha Godara handed over the investigation to the CIA unit.

The police said the arrested persons had been identified as Deepak of Mehlana village and Sumit of Gautam Colony in Gohana.

During preliminary interrogation, the accused revealed that Rajiv had been their business partner and he had asked them to murder Suraksha as he and his mother could be send to jail on her complaint.

As per plan, Rajiv took Suraksha on his motorcycle to the industrial area of Bari near Gannaur on July 13. She was hammered to death by them and her body was buried at a deserted place in the industrial area.

The police said the body was dug out from the areas and sent to the BPS Government Women Medical College at Khanpur Kalan for a post-mortem examination. The accused would be produced in a court on Saturday, said the police.
