132 KV line for Kala Amb industries

HP State Electricity Board Ltd (HPSEBL) started the double circuit 132 KV transmission line that will provide dedicated power supply to the industrial area of Kala Amb.

According to the board’s spokesperson, the board tapped the Giri-Solan line near Jamta in Sirmour up to Kala Amb sub-station via Devni. “This Jamta-Devni-Kala Amb 132 KV transmission line started a few days ago, he added.

HPSEBL spent nearly Rs 22.50 crore on the transmission line that spans 14.39 km. It will facilitate industrial consumers of the Kala Amb Industrial Area.

The board will now allow more then 110 MW power load to the industries of Kala Amb, which was earlier restricted to 90 MW. The management will increase the reliability and quality power supply in the area, the board officials stated.

The Kala Amb industrial Area Association has expressed its gratitude to the board for providing quality power to the industrialists.
