Army shell lands on a house

Shimla, November 8

Panic gripped Amarpur locality in Sirmaur district on Diwali night when an Army shell landed on the rooftop of a house. The house belonged to Durgesh Sharma. 

“We got information at 7.30 pm that an explosive had fallen on the rooftop of a house in Amarpur," Sirmaur DSP (headquarter) Babita Rana said. The shell damaged the roof. Then it fell near a man in the street, she added. 

An Army firing range is near the locality. A letter has been sent to the Army authorities. A case has been registered.
