Nurpur, February 12

The BSNL today launched its five new 3G sites in rural areas of the Nurpur division.

Subscribers will now get 3G facility in Gangath, Khanni, Indora, Jonta and Trilokpur. Earlier, they had 2G facility with slow net speed.

Tilak Thakur, Divisional Engineer, BSNL, Nurpur, said at present, 14 such 3G sites were working and 19 more sites would be launched within one month in the division.

He said the BSNL had also launched a special plan, ‘Aseem’ for landline numbers for just Rs 99. “Any subscriber whose landline number is disconnected due to cable theft, cable damage or volunteer disconnection can now have the same landline number for his mobile phone by paying an annual rent,” he said. He also said the BSNL had also re-started Sunday free calling on landline telephones for the next three months with effect from February 18.
