Chamba, Bharmour without power for 43 hours

Chamba, February 9

The town and several other parts of the district have remained without power for around 43 hours due to heavy snow and rain in the district.

Telecommunication services had been affected. However, the power supply was restored this evening.

Bharmour ADM PP Singh has said it might take about 10 days to restore power supply in Bharmour. DC Harikesh Meena said 143 roads were blocked by snowfall and landslides. He said 90 JCBs had been put in operation to remove the snow and debris. — OC
