Keep tabs on encroachments: DC

Our Correspondent

Chamba, November 6

Chamba District Magistrate Harikesh Meena has directed Municipal Council officials to keep tabs on encroachments and unauthorised constructions in the town.

He asked the officials not to allow unwarranted construction of kiosks and setting up of 'rehris' and 'phadis' in the town.

Addressing a meeting, the District Magistrate directed the MC to take action against those who have not been paying the rent of municipal shops and stalls for long.

He said the MC's drive for the recovery of the rent of shops and stalls would continue.

The DM asked the officials to issue notices to those who had encroached on the roadside.
