Varsity fleecing students: ABVP

Shimla, June 13

Despite the Higher Education Department fixing the hostel fee for all private universities, APG Shimla University is overcharging students.

In a release, ABVP leaders said the university was charging four times more fee. ABVP state co-general secretary Yojraj Dogra said the government fixed the fee of a room shared by three students at Rs18,000 per annum, but the APG university was charging Rs50,000 for a room shared by four. He urged the HP Private Universities Regulatory Commission to take action. — TNS
