A shobha yatra to mark ‘Maha Shivratri’ was taken out here today. The yatra was organised by the members of the Devi Talab Temple commitee. It commenced from the Devi Talab Temple and passed through various places.

Politicians and members of various social groups participated in the yatra. Beautiful palanquins and well-designed artefacts, displaying the stories about the life of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati were the major attractions of the yatra. Hymns were chanted by accompanying jathas.

En route the shobha yatra, shopkeepers cleaned the roads in front of their outlets, beautified them and organised stalls of langar.
