Maiden event concludes amid fanfare

Colonelz Sharpshooterz, a Model Town-based shooting range, dominated the District Shooting Championships held at the PAP Shooting range over the past two days, winning 12 gold, 14 silver, and 4 bronze medals.

A total of about 200 shooters participated in the championship. The medals were given away by the President of the Jalandhar District Shooting Association Powar, and Colonel J S Nagpal, Sucha Singh, among others. Himmat Singh was chiefly instrumental in organising the championship. A large number of shooters had participated in the district- level tournament for the first time.

Jalandhar’s Agambir Singh Bhatia again dominated the medal positions with multiple gold medals in various pistol shooting categories.

Kunaksh Verma continued to dominate in the 10m Air Rifle, winning two golds and two silver medals.

A 10m air pistol shooter, Bikramjit Singh won a gold and a silver medal.
