Protest against UIDAI

Hoshiarpur, January 11

Labour Party of India and Bharat Jagao Movement Forum held a protest outside the District Administrative Complex under the leadership of party president Jai Gopal Dhiman and Dalveer Singh Kandola.

They lit candles and raised slogans against Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI). They raised slogans against the UIDAI and the Central Government.

Dhiman said the candles were lit to show the light to the UIDAI officials who, under the darkness of the false FIR, were trying to cover up the revelation made by Rachana Khaira, a “The Tribune” journalist.

The protesters said the country needs such daring journalists to bring the reality to the fore but the anti-democracy attitude of the Government had attacked the freedom of the Press.

People will remember this anti-Constitutional action which was nothing but an attempt without any thought to cover up UIDAI’s shortcomings, they added. OC
