Rs 17 cr sanctioned for Phagwara link roads: Cong leader

Phagwara, January 10

Congress leader from Kapurthala Joginder Singh Mann today said the state government had sanctioned Rs 17.44 crore for widening and recarpeting 174-km-long 70 link roads in the Phagwara subdivision.

He said it was a New Year gift for local residents.

Talking to the media here today, the Congress leader said with the move, infrastructure of link roads would get a boost. Mann added that by upgrade the link roads, people could move easily from their villages to the town and vice versa.

District Congress leaders Daljeet Singh Raju, Sanjeev Bugga, Avtar Singh Pandwa and Manish Bhardwaj were also present here on the occasion.
