Guv, CM extend Lohri greetings

Jammu, January 12

Governor NN Vohra has extended warm greetings to the people on the auspicious occasions of Lohri and Makar Sankranti.

In his message, the Governor observed that these two festivals are a tribute to the bounties of nature and herald a change with the winter moving towards the spring.

The Governor prayed for the well-being and happiness of the people and wished that these festivals would bring lasting peace and prosperity to the state.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti and Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh also greeted people on the occasion of Lohri.

In her message, the CM said in a multicultural and multilingual state like Jammu & Kashmir such occasions bring people closer and bring joy and happiness to society. — TNS
