Madhav meets Mattu, Srinagar councillors

Srinagar: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national general secretary Ram Madhav on Thursday interacted with the newly elected Mayor of Srinagar, Junaid Azim Mattu, and elected corporators of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation. Even as the BJP maintained that it was an informal meeting, ally People’s Conference president Sajad Lone and rebel PDP leaders Imran Ansari and Abid Ansari were also seen at the function. “It was an informal meeting. He (Madhav) had come to felicitate and congratulate the new mayor and other corporators. They met over dinner,” said BJP media in charge Manzoor A Bhat. Madhav had played a key role in the formation of the previous PDP-BJP coalition government in the state. TNS
