Srinagar, November 8

The weatherman has predicted rain and snowfall across the Valley from November 12 to 15, saying the temperature may go further down during the rainy days.

Director, meteorological (Met) department, Sonum Lotus said there was a possibility of rain and snowfall across the Valley from November 12, saying the wet weather would remain till November 15.

He said the weather in the Valley was highly dynamic and the department would give an appropriate forecast in the coming days.

“The magnitude of rain and snowfall will be less as compared to the last snowfall that was witnessed on Saturday,” he said.

Lotus said besides higher reaches, the plains may also experience fresh snowfall on November 14 according to the prediction. “After November 15, there is a prediction of dry weather for the next few days,” he said.

Earlier, the higher reaches of the Valley as well plains here experienced the season’s first snowfall which resulted in the blocking of roads and affected power supply across Kashmir.
