The Pakistan army on Wednesday violated the ceasefire pact by targeting an Indian forward post in the Krishna Ghati sector of Poonch district. A jawan was injured in the firing.

Sources said Pakistani troops opened fire at the Indian post at 8 pm on Wednesday. The Army responded to the firing.

During the exchange of firing, the jawan received splinter injuries. He was taken to Army hospital at Poonch. On Thursday, he was shifted to Army hospital in Rajouri. For the last about a month, the Pakistan army has been targeting forward posts in Poonch.

On September 28 and 30 and on October 4, the Pakistan army had fired at Indian posts in the Gulpur sector.
