State gets LPG bottling plant

Jammu, January 12

Deputy Chief Minister Nirmal Singh and Minister of State for Tourism Priya Sethi kicked off the operations of Diya Gas Bottling Plant Limited on Friday.

The plant will provide a hassle-free and on-time LPG access to domestic and commercial users in the state.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy CM said starting this plant, in line with creating on-time access to LPG across the country, was a moment of pride for the state.

Congratulating the entrepreneur, Singh said it was the mission of PMNarendra Modi that each and every household in the country had an LPG connection.

The Deputy CM said the Central and state governments were working in tandem to ensure better implementation of the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana to achieve the envisioned goal of safeguarding the health of women and children by providing them with a clean cooking fuel so that they don’t have to compromise with their health in smoky kitchens or wander in unsafe areas for collecting firewood. — TNS
