Students should have a Master’s degree in history or a related discipline. Additionally, preference will be given to students who already have a research degree or experience in research work.

MBA admission

University of Calicut invites applications from interested candidates for admission to two-year MBA programme for the academic year 2018-19 at various centres.


  • Any degree of the University of Calicut or that of any other university or institute recognised by the UGC or AICTE. 
  • Students should have passed the bachelor degree examination with not less than 50 per cent marks in aggregate, including the marks of the languages, if any.
  • Candidate must obtain the minimum score required in the CMAT conducted by AICTE/KMAT Kerala conducted by ASC, Thiruvananthapuram, and CAT conducted by IIMs.
  • Two years’ work experience is required for MBA evening programme in addition to the other requirements. In the absence of adequate number of applicants with two year’s experience, others would also be considered.
  • Candidates awaiting their degree results may also apply. However, original qualifying degree marks list should be submitted before September 30, 2018.
How to apply

Online. Remit application fee of Rs 500 to the Calicut University Funds by State Bank online/Friends/Akshaya E-Challan/ Payment Gateway. Select the purpose “Application fee for MBA Admission 2018” while processing the challan. The candidates shall send the print out of the application along with the original challan receipt and a self addressed Rs 5 stamped envelope (26cmx15cm) directly to “The Head, Dept. of Commerce and Management Studies, Calicut University Campus, University of Calicut, Malappuram 673635”.

LLM course

Aligarh Muslim University invites applications for admission to  Masters degree programme (LLM) for the academic year 2018.


All aspirants who possess a graduation degree in LLB/BA LLB course offered at Aligarh Muslim University or any other recognised university with at least 55 per cent aggregate marks meet the AMU law entrance exam 2018 eligibility criteria for LLM course admissions.

How to apply

The application fee is Rs 400 for LLM programme. The candidate can pay it via a Demand Draft (in case of offline mode) or by using a credit/ debit card or net banking (in case of online mode).

The DD should be drawn in favour of Finance Officer, A.M.U., Aligarh and should be payable at Aligarh.

MA, MSc, MPhil admission

International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS), Mumbai, has announced notification for admission to two year full-time Master of Arts (M.A) / Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Population Studies, two years M.Sc. in Bio-Statistics & Demography, one year Master of Philosophy (M. Phil) in Population Studies/ Bio-statistics & Demography, Integrated M.Phil. and Ph.D. in Population Studies /Bio-statistics & Demography and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Population Studies /Bio-statistics & Demography for the academic year 2018-19.


For M.A/M.Sc: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in social sciences including the subject of Mathematics/ Statistics from a recognised university with at least 55 per cent of aggregate marks or equivalent grade. The upper age limit is 25 years as on June 30, 2018.

For Master of Science in Biostatistics and Demography: Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree from recognised universities in India or abroad in core subject of Mathematics or Statistics or with at least, two full papers of Mathematics or Statistics with a minimum of 55 per cent of aggregate marks in all subjects. 

For Master of Philosophy in Population Studies

Candidates with a Master in Population Studies/M.A/M.Sc in Demography/ M.Sc in Biostatistics and Epidemiology from a recognised university with at least 55 per cent of aggregate marks or equivalent.

For Integrated M.Phil and Ph.D. in Population Studies/Bio-statistics & Demography

Candidates with a Master’s in Population Studies, Demography, Biostatistics and Demography from a recognised university in India and abroad with a minimum of 55 percent of aggregate marks or equivalent grade. 

For Doctor of Philosophy (Phd.) in Population Studies /Biostatistics & Demography:  Candidates with an M.Phil. in Population Studies, Biostatistics and Epidemiology, Demography from a recognised university with at least 55 per cent of aggregate marks/equivalent grade are eligible to apply. 

For Post Doctoral Fellowship: Candidates having Ph.D. degree in Population Studies or subjects related with population, health, gender and development.
