Healthy & spicy
This recipe is dedicated to all health conscious people. Oats is considered to be bland, but in this dish we give it a twist to make it tasty and healthy for all age groups.

Spicy oats appe


  • Oats – 1 cup 
  • Chopped vegetable – ½ cup (capsicum, carrot, cabbage)
  • Amchur
  • Oil (for frying)
  • Salt according to taste
  • Onion – 1 table spoon (chopped)
  • Sambhar masala - 1 teaspoon
  • Green chili – 1 teaspoon (chopped)
  • Green coriander

  • Take one glass of water in a pan. Heat until it is lukewarm. Now, put one cup oats into it and cook for 2-3 minutes. The consistency should be semi-solid.
  • Now, take another pan and sauté the onion first, and then add the vegetables with some oil. Cook for two minutes. Add the sambhar masala, green chilli, amchur and salt. Mix well.
  • Take the special appe kadhai (used specially to make appes) and heat it. Grease it with an oil, applying it with a brush. Pour the mixture with the help of a spoon into the cups. After 3-4 minutes, turn it upside down.
  • Cook it till it is brown. 
Note: Serve it with coconut-peanut chutney.
