Power-packed party

After the lavish wedding ceremonies at Jodhpur’s Umaid Bhawan Palace, newlyweds Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas had their wedding reception in Delhi on Tuesday.

The grand reception took place at Delhi. Several dignitaries, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, were seen in attendance to wish the couple. Priyanka wore an elaborate lehenga at the occasion while Nick looked dapper in a navy blue velvet tuxedo. Beside Nick and Priyanka, one more couple that caught everyone’s attention was the soon-to-be married Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas. They both were dazzling in Indian attire. While Sophie opted for a peach lehenga with gold embellishments by Sabyasachi Mukherjee, Joe kept it simple in navy blue suit.

Just few hours before the reception, all PeeCee fans were in for a pleasant surprise when she shared the first pictures of her wedding. The actress had shared two pictures from her Hindu and Christian wedding ceremonies on her Instagram. Meanwhile, there were reports that Parineeti Chopra, being Nick’s sister-in-law, received Rs 5 lakh from him as joota hiding fee during the Hindu wedding ceremony. However, Parineeti took to her Twitter on Tuesday and shared that the amount is much more. She wrote, “To all those speculating the joota hiding money - you know nothing! All I can say is - you’re wrong!! Haha. Nick was more than crazy hugely madly generous! No words. Still reeling. Phew. He shocked us. Whatta playa!!! @nickjonas”.

Well, we love the way Nick has embraced Priyanka’s family wholeheartedly!

On a scale of 1 to 10 in happiness, I’m on 12

After a “fairytale” wedding with American singer Nick Jonas, actress Priyanka Chopra is beaming with seamless joy. “On a scale of 1 to 10 in happiness, I’m on 12,” Priyanka told IANS on stage at her wedding reception at the Taj Palace Hotel here on Tuesday night, as Nick smiled away. —IANS
