Puree-fy your taste

Tomatoes are available at this time of the year. Now is the time to make fresh tomato puree and use it or freeze it. Here we have combined it with boiled spaghetti and other veggies to give a delicious baked surprise.\

Baked spaghetti in tomato sauce

Ingredient

1 cup spaghetti (boiled)

1 onion (chopped)

1 capsicum (chopped)

200gm fresh tomato puree

2 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tbsp oil

100gm fresh cream

Salt, to taste

2 cubes cheese (optional)

1 onion (cut into roundels)

1 capsicum (cut into roundels)

Method

  • Heat oil in a pan. Add onion and sauté it until light golden.
  • Add capsicum and sauté for one minute.
  • Now add tomato puree, tomato sauce and cream and mix well. Bring it to boil.
  • Add boiled spaghetti and mix well. Cook it for a minute.
  • Now put it in a greased baking dish.
  • Sauté the roundels of onion and capsicum and arrange them on the spaghetti dish.
  • Grate cheese and sprinkle it.
  • Bake it in a pre-heated oven at 180 degree for about 10 minutes.
  • Serve hot.
