The trailer of the film, ‘Uri’, starring Vicky Kaushal, Yami Gautami and Paresh Rawal, which is based on the 2016 surgical strike, was released on Wednesday.

The two-and-a-half-minute trailer was launched on social media.

Director and writer Aditya Dhar has an interesting military drama to tell with Ronnie Screwvala production.

A background is given in the video, “On 18 September, 2016, 19 unarmed Indian soldiers were martyred at Uri base came, Kashmir.”

The next headline reads, ‘Deadliest attack in two decades’. Vicky Kaushal, who plays Indian Army officer Vihaan Singh Shergill, comes into the picture and promises to not let his men down.

Suggesting a surgical strike to his seniors, Paresh Rawal enters the screen.

Yami Gautami is seen playing the role of an intelligence officer.

At the end, Vicky is heard giving a speech to his men. He says, “We will get our revenge for the blood loss with blood,” and “Indian Army didn’t start this war, but we will bloody hell finish it.”

The movie is based on the surgical strike that was conducted by the Indian Army against the alleged terror attack in the Kashmir region of Uri.
