Major police reshuffle after poll

LUDHIANA: The Ludhiana Police Commissionerate has carried out a major reshuffle of police officers after the Lok Sabha elections. In the reshuffle of 18 police officers, three women officers have been given the task of heading police stations.

The Ludhiana Police Commissionerate has carried out a major reshuffle of police officers after the Lok Sabha elections. In the reshuffle of 18 police officers, three women officers have been given the task of heading police stations.

Three women officers who have been posted as SHOs are probationary officers, SI Richa Rani, who was earlier posted at Police Lines and now appointed Division 5 SHO; SI Madhu Bala, who was earlier posted as additional SHO of Division 8 and now shifted to Sarabha Nagar as SHO; and SI Manjeet Kaur, who was additional SHO at Shimlapuri and now made Dehlon SHO.

Others officers who have got new postings are Inspector Rajwant Singh, from special branch to SHO of PS1; Inspector Satish Kumar, from SHO of PS 1 to SHO of PS3; Inspector Lovedeep Singh, from PS 3 to Police Lines; Inspector Satwant Singh from Police Lines to SHO of PS 4; Inspector Goldy Virdi, from PS 5 to Police Lines; Inspector Gurmit Singh, from security branch to PS 8; Inspector Vijay Kumar, from PS Salem Tabri to PS Daresi; Inspector Satpal Singh, from Daresi to Tibba; and Inspector Paramjit Singh, from SHO of Tibba to PCR Zone 2.

Similarly, Inspector Kanwaldeep has been shifted from Police Lines to Salem Tabri as SHO, Inspector Harjinder Singh from Temp SHO Daba to PS Jamalpur, Inspector Surinder Singh from Jamalpur to Police Lines, Inspector Inderjit Singh from Police Lines to Sahnewal in place of Inspector Iqbal Singh, Inspector Pawan Kumar from DCRB to Model Town in place of Inspector Satnam Singh, Inspector Paramdeep Singh from Police Lines to PAU, Inspector Harbans Singh from Sarabha Nagar to Police Lines, SI Mohan Lal from reader to ADCP (Crime) to PS Haibowal in place of Inspector Navdeep Singh, SI Davinder Pal from Koom Kalan to PCR Zone 3, Inspector Varunjit from Police Lines to Koom Kalan, Inspector Amandeep Singh Brar from Police Lines to SHO Focal Point, Inspector Kulwant Singh from Zone 4 Traffic to SHO Meharban in place of Inspector Jagdev Singh, SI Ranjit Singh as Zone 1 PCR Ludhiana and SI Ravinder Pal has been shifted from City Traffic to Daba as SHO.
