A four-year-old girl,  Yashvi, who was brought to Christian Medical College and Hospital yesterday with a rod in her skull, got a new lease of life after the doctors removed the rod from her head.

The rod pierced through her skull in a roof collapse. The child was conscious when she was brought to the hospital.

Under the guidance of Prof Sarvpreet Singh Grewal and his team, comprising Dr Paul, Dr Anil, Dr Ashish and Dr Ravindra, the child was immediately attended to and the rod removed from her skull.

Professor Grewal said the child was fully conscious, talking and moving all her four limbs. She is likely to make a complete recovery soon.
