Ludhiana, October 11

Students of Guru Nanak Public School, Sarabha Nagar, proved their mettle by winning the football title (boys’ U-14 category) in district-level games which concluded at Guru Nanak Stadium here on Wednesday.

Around 1,600 players (boys and girls) from 45 schools took part in 17 sports disciplines during the three-day event, organised by the Punjab Sports Department under the Tandarust Punjab mission.

Parvinder Kaur, Principal, GNPS, congratulated the students and appreciated the efforts of Bhupinder Singh, HOD, school’s Physical Education Department, and football coach Ranbir Singh.

Surinder Singh, General Secretary, GNPS Committee, congratulated the students on the achievement and said the school would do its best to provide students with facilities to nurture their talents. — OC
