Additional Sessions Judge Varinder Aggarwal has convicted a storekeeper of Civil Surgeon’s office, Vinod Kumar, a resident of Shivpuri here, in a case pertaining to medicine scam worth Rs 4.58 lakh. He has been sentenced to rigorous imprisonment for five years. A fine of Rs 2.2 lakh has also been imposed on him.

Delivering the verdict, the court held him guilty of indulging in corruption, misappropriating medicines and forging documents.

A case against him was registered at the Vigilance Bureau police station on August 10, 2006.
