Summer camp organised

A summer camp was organised at ABC Montessori School, Basant Avenue, on Wednesday. Students participated in activities, including art and craft, cooking without fire, dance, yoga, aerobics, meditation, personality development, spoken English, karate, etc. Students between 3 to 15 years attended the camp. Camp organiser Charandeep Singh said such activites help children develop self-confidence and prepare them for competition ahead.

Sacred Heart School

Summer exotica organised by Sacred Heart Senior Secondary School, Mandi Gobindghar, concluded on Wednesday. Students from Nursery to Class X participated in activities, including spoken English, French, art and craft, calligraphy, cricket, football, volley ball, skating, etc. Students performed dance and presented a French play on the closing ceremony. Managing director JPS Jolly distributed certificates to students and thanked teachers for their sincere efforts which made summer camp a great success.

Outstanding students awarded

DCM Presidency School organised a function to award students who passed CBSE Class X and XII exams with flying colours. School management participated students for their outstanding performance. Ceremony began by seeking blessings of almighty through Ganesh Vandana followed by a formal welcome note from Senior Secondary Coordinator Ashok Gupta. School CEO Anirudh Gupta, deputy CEO Nupur Nutan and principal Rajni Kalra gave certificates and trophies to 60 students who excelled in academics. Gupta inspired students to plan their career while keeping in mind the competitive world.

Investiture organised

Ryan International School Dugri chairman Dr AF Pinto conducted an investiture ceremony for students of academic session 2018-19. Harkarandeep Singh Vaid, councillor, Dugri, was a chief guest on the occasion. Vaid conferred badges and portfolios to newly elected council members. The mantle of responsibility was passed over to newly elected school president Mehardeep Kaur along with prime minister Aaryan Sharma, who led oath taking ceremony and took a pledge to contribute to the growth and progress of the institute. The event culminated on a note of positivity.
