Ludhiana, June 13

Members of the Taxation Bar Association here discussed the problems faced by tax professionals, traders and businessmen while filing various returns and generating e-way bills, during a seminar held at Guru Nanak Bhawan on Wednesday.

Queries of the tax professionals were answered by senior officials, including Binay Kumar Jha, Chief Commissioner-IT, Ravneet Singh Khurana, Joint Commissioner, GST Policy Wing, Ministry of Finance; and Vivek Pratap Singh, Excise and Taxation Commissioner, Punjab.

The officials said the GST system was important for the progress of the country. At the same time, a few problems are being faced by taxpayers while filing returns. But the government is there to listen to the grievances of the public. They asserted all problems relating to the filing of GST returns would be sorted out at the earliest.
